Episode 22 – The New Guys – Meredith Bagby

Recently, I got a chance to talk to Meredith Bagby, author of a groundbreaking new book, “The New Guys: The Historic Class of Astronauts That Broke Barriers and Changed the Face of Space Travel.” It’s a great biography of the 1978 NASA Astronaut Class, the first men and women hired to fly on the Space Shuttle. She tells the story of the “Thirty-Five New Guys” through the experiences of the 10 minority members of the class. I highly recommend the book, and this episode of The Launch Pad Space Podcast.

I know I always say I like the books that I review on the podcast. I do that because I really don’t want to spend time talking about books that I didn’t enjoy. And I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I highly recommend Meredith’s book!

(NOTE: I made a mistake during the recording of this episode, so I couldn’t increase the my volume without blowing out Meredith. My apologies to her, and to you.)
